book review ;) *soksok dang -_-"

Hola Mi Amigos!

lately, i've become more and more addicted to a trilogy. actually, the last book will not be coming out until 24/8/10 but i've read the first and second book. and i can tell you, it's awesome! :-bd and i've read the first book twice. and im on the process of reading the second book for the second time.

for me, it's really addicting because of the amazing plot that suzanne collins (the author) created, and i just love the way that chapter ends with a sentence that is shocking or something really important that plays a big part in the whole story. She put the details correctly by describing it with simple, uderstandable sentences.

but i really really really really really like the story. she has such strong imagination :-bd maybe that's the main reason i became so addicted to these books. i actually regretted buying the first book :)) maybe if i hadn't bought it, i would spend more time studying instead of reading these books :))

The trilogy is called: The Hunger Games.

The story takes place in Panem, a country that was the ruins of the United States. It was ruled by a shining and rich city called the Capitol (kind of like JAKARTA :D) and they ruled the 12 districts that covered the rest of Panem. Now, the districts does not have quite as much freedom as the Capitol. For example, people in a district are not allowed to visit other district, and the punishment were amazing (-_-"), such as whipping, or sometimes, death.

The Capitol were also harsh and cruel, and they forced the districts to send one boy and one girl between the age of twelve and eighteen to participate in the annual Hunger Games, a game where the tributes (that's what the call the contestants) will fight to death on live TV just for the entertainment of the people in the Capitol. The last one alive wins. They made this game show because a few decades ago, there was a rebellion from the districts. And of course, the Capitol wun. Back then, there were 13 districts. One was destroyed. And for the punishment, they made the hunger games.


pokoknya ntar main character nya katniss everdeen, terus kalo ceritanya mau lebih lanjut (karena tadi tu sebenarnya bukan ceritanya, cuman sekedar pengetahuan biar nggak bingung [padahal tambah bingung jadinya -,-]) asik loooooohhh :-bd belik bukunya ... abis tu filmnya rencananya bakal ada tahn 2011 :D masih lama :(
